probably the best place i have been in singapore
hands down one of the best restaurants in singapore: no mall setting but in a kind of HDB, no business people, a nice mix of hipsters and professionals, and GREAT FOOD.

The crabcakes are probably some of the best i have ever had. The squid rice, as well as the porkbelly are awesome. We had some mojitos to accompany the food.

Knowingly cool bar-restaurant-club in an unlikely location Definitely one of Singapore's most hipsterish eateries, but doesn't fall prey to style over substance. The food is inventive and of good quality, although a little on the pricey side. Decor is more Kreuzberg than Kallang: all exposed concrete and dim lighting, and the semi open-air dining room has nice views over the river - views that few tourists ever get to see given how far Kampong Bugis is from the regular tourist trails. Best of all, the bar upstairs opens late and plays host to some of Singapore's best DJs. The owners clearly know their house music, and have built up a loyal following with a series of lively parties. If you're looking for a good night out off the beaten track, I would definitely recommend Kilo. Visited December 2014 - ★★★★

Difficult to find, but worth the effort This place is a great find. The food is high quality and flavors. Great selection of wine. The place turns into a bar post 11:00. Worth the effort to get there. Visited October 2014 - ★★★★

Great Food Inventive and Fresh! Want a sophisticated menu with delicate fusion of European and Asian? Off the road from Lavender SMTR on the Rochor River you will find a meal that delivers fresh and flavoursome cuisine in a laid back minimalist interior supported by friendly and capable wait staff with a first class kitchen. A highlight for of the trip for my wife and I. We enjoyed; the beetroot salad, chilli prawn flatbread, scallops, ink squid chilli squid, and a desert of corn bread and strawberry. We will be back! Kilo Kitchen is a Must Visit! For Singapore Noms's full review and pictures: https://singaporenoms.wordpress.com/2013/07/07/kilo-kitchen-review The Kilo Kitchen at Kamping Bugis made us keel over with full and satisfied tummies! Sometimes a place comes along that can lighten up even my jaded and cynical palate. Visited July 2013 - ★★★★★

Successfully off-the-grid Expect something different from Kilo. They clearly went off the grid and they succeeded! Eclectic vibe on the second floor of a small building hidden in a quiet street. A piece of Berlin in Singapore? Anyway, worth a visit! Delicious food in a special atmosphere. Visited May 2013 - ★★★★★

Seek and ye shall find some pretty divine cuisine Bit off the beaten track is Kilo. Even when standing right outside the building you'd be hard pressed to tell it's where this little gem is hiding, just beside Kallang river. Seek it out though (advance booking essential BTW), and you will be rewarded with a low key interior, but high quality cuisine. Bare polished concrete floors, and walls open to the elements make for a casual, relaxed atmosphere which I really like. The food certainly impresses. Spicy mint salmon sashimi and tuna wasabi tartare were different takes on classic dishes. For meat lovers, the slow cooked beef short ribs, and the chilli lime spicy pork were both surefire hits. Price wise, it's good value for the quality of food. I'll definitely return here. Visited Nov 2012 - ★★★★

Hidden find! Went to Kilo for a saturday birthday dinner with family. Reservation is a MUST here and my sister had to book 2 weeks in advance to secure a seat. Kilo is rustic; 2nd storey of an old factory building, no aircon, not exactly fancy but tasteful. For appetiser, we had sushi with chicken skin, salad and one dish with wanton skin. I loved the wanton dish as it includes raw tuna and salsa with crispy wanton skin! For mains, we had tenderloin, 12 hours pork and duck. All three dishes were cooked perfectly and I totally enjoyed the 12 hours pork as it soft and tasty. Yum! Generally, I will return to Kilo again and recommend it to my friends.
