When you have this many four-legged friends visiting you every weekend at Camp Kilo Charcoal Club, Camp Canine was a long time coming. Created together with our lovely friends from FOURS to show a little love towards man’s one and only best friend, Camp Canine saw a host of fun activities for both the dogs and their human companions.

If you don’t already know, Camp Kilo is a laid-back roast joint that caters to anyone with a discerning taste for good food, good music, and positive vibes, with plenty of space for kids and all our furry friends to roam free.

We take a look at all the adventures that went down during the inaugural Camp Canine on Sunday, 24th of September.

From Pomeranians to Shiba Inus, a variety of dogs created a space that was bustling with energy.  Dogs and puppies of various breeds and personalities scampered around camp, and we kicked off the day’s programme with a fashion showcase by FOURS (a local street-petwear label) where human and pet models paraded around Camp Kilo with threads and accessories from the brand itself.

Guests and their pawed companions who joined us for the afternoon were also treated to a pet market by Barking Good, Wholesome Paws, Floki’s Fabulous Dinners and Baowwaow.  A line up of activities such as pet portraits, a photo booth, and a pet adoption drive by Exclusively Mongrels Limited kept everyone busy, while beds by MOBY’S Petshop and not to mention, a doggie pool,  gave the pooches some space to cool off and to relax in.

Besides a selection of activities and entertainment for our guests, we put the creativity of pet owners to the test in our “Best Dressed Pooch” competition with categories such as “Squad Goals”, “Twinning”, and “Fresh AF”—for best dressed group, human and dog pairing, and the pooch with the maddest street style, respectively.

Of course, the real battle began when the pooches went neck to neck in our Doggie Race with Toby, a schnauzer and a professional racer coming in first in the small dog category, while the Hotdog! Eating competition challenged the coordination and communication between pet owners and their dogs. Jason, the retriever, finished two whole portions and emerged as the winner.

A huge thank you to everyone who came by and brought your furry companions along with you. We hope you had as much fun as we did; view more images from the day here, and we’ll see you at the next one!

Shoutout to all our event sponsors (Wholesome Paws, Floki’s Fabulous Dinners, Barking Good, Petcubes, Moby’s Petshop, Powwow and Steph of Happy Tails Asia), and our friends at FOURS, Doggies Galore and PetMate Singapore for making Camp Canine possible.
