It’s that special time of the year again, when the season of giving awaits at our doorstep. We welcomed Christmas with open arms and celebrated Thanksgiving at Kilo Kallang last November with the best things in life—a hearty feast, an abundance of drinks, and the company of our loved ones.
It was truly a day to be grateful, and we rejoiced over a meaningful meal. In the light of the celebrations, our space was transformed with decorations to help rekindle some fond holiday memories for our guests.
As our co-founder, Joshua Adjodha, made his return to the kitchen for a special menu that included some of our Thanksgiving favourites with a Kilo twist, guests who joined us for the evening knew they were in good hands, and took their seats for an exceptional dinner to come.
The night started with Roasted Figs with Chili and Candied Bacon, followed by a warm and a comforting bowl of Roasted Carrot and Coconut Soup served with scrumptious prawn toasts that had everyone craving for more.
As the evening drew on, the restaurant was filled with nothing but warm chatter and hearty laughter as guests feasted on Joshua’s Roasted Tomato Caprese and two-way Turkey, served alongside an array of extraordinary sides: silky potato purée, roasted green beans with harissa, mushroom stuffing, butter rolls, gravy, and spiced cranberry sauce. After all, no Thanksgiving feast is ever quite complete without the traditional turkey.
To end off the evening, guests were treated to a delicious plate of Pumpkin Cheesecake, served with espresso whipped cream and pecans—lending a sweet finish to a memorable meal.
We can’t thank everyone enough for joining us at our Thanksgiving dinner—it was truly a heartwarming sight as friends and family came together to celebrate the joyous occasion over a homely meal at Kilo Kallang. The team at Kilo would also like to take this chance to thank anyone and everyone who’s been a part of our journey this year—for making more memories with us, and for sharing your experiences, we’re truly grateful, and we look forward to many more years of the same.
